NT school catchment checker

Enter an address to see nearby schools in the Northern Territory from the national school list. Ideal Home does not show Local Enrolment Area Yes or No for NT government schools.

Local Enrolment Area: Yes — inside No — outside No data — unavailable N/A — non-government

Local Enrolment Area is No data for NT government schools — not the same as No (outside a catchment). N/A is for non-government schools.

NT Education publishes priority enrolment area (PEA) maps by region (Google Map pages), not a bulk open polygon download we can load. We do not copy those maps or guess Yes/No.

For 2026, Darwin and Palmerston secondary PEAs were updated as middle schools became comprehensive high schools. Casuarina Senior College has no priority enrolment area. Alice Springs secondary still has no designated PEA in public copy. Those official maps still are not a loadable dataset, so Ideal Home Local Enrolment Area stays No data.

How to use this

  1. Use Ideal Home for nearby schools and national profile fields where they exist.
  2. Open the NT priority enrolment area maps hub, pick your region, and search the address in the official map.
  3. Confirm enrolment with the school. Some places (for example Alice Springs secondary) may have no designated PEA in public copy.

Common questions

Does No data mean I am outside the priority enrolment area?
No. No data means Ideal Home cannot answer. We do not copy NT Google Map pages into Yes or No.
Where is the official checker?
NT Education PEA maps hub — pick your region (Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, rural) and search the address. Alice Springs secondary currently has no designated PEA in public copy. More answers on the catchment FAQ.

First-pass nearby-schools list only — not enrolment advice and not an official PEA answer. Always confirm with the school and the Department of Education and Training.
