School names, sector, type, coordinates, and shortlist metrics from
ACARA School Profile and School Location 2025
(ICSEA percentile, LBOTE, total enrolments, girls/boys enrolments, Indigenous %, SEA quarters, year range, plus Kindergarten/Prep, Year 6, Year 7 and Year 12 counts from Enrolments by Grade 2025).
Government catchment polygons for NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT, SA and TAS — labelled in the product as
Local Enrolment Area Yes or No.
A My School
profile link when the school has an ACARA SML ID in that Profile. We link out; we do not scrape the site.
What we leave out on purpose
No NAPLAN league tables and no composite “best school” score.
WA and NT government Local Enrolment Area stays No data until we can load official catchment polygons — we do not guess Yes.
Attendance in the glance table is often No data outside NSW (our current join is Extra Profile / NSW-path; national 2025 attendance is not a public bulk file we have loaded).
FOEI (NSW Family Occupation and Education Index) appears on desktop results, expand, and in-page compare when the NSW Extra Profile joins — higher means more disadvantage. Outside NSW it is No data. It is not a national school score and not a sort key.
We show four year-level counts on expand/compare (Kindergarten/Prep, Year 6, Year 7, Year 12). Years a school does not offer are N/A. We do not load the full 13-year table into the results grid.
Neighbourhood SEIFA (ABS) is not shown as a school quality score (different from FOEI).
Tasmania intake areas stay attributed to DECYP via TheLIST. Families should confirm details with the school/DECYP.
How to read the labels
Yes / No — we have catchment data and can match the address.
No data — the idea applies, but we cannot determine it (missing polygons, pending profile, or a flag we do not have).
N/A — Local Enrolment Area does not apply (non-government schools), or a year level the school does not offer.
